Our mariachi music class is provided to youth ages 6-18 years old. We currently have an intermediate class. We hope to start additional beginner classes in the future. We have rehearsal every Wednesday from 5:30-7:30pm at Green Park in Lawndale. Currently students with 2 years of musical instruction are encouraged to audition.
Kiko Serna is a trumpet player, guitar player and singer. With over a 20 year career under his belt, he now enjoys the benefit of teaching music to the youth in his community. In his younger years, Kiko performed with many touring bands. Although he played many styles of music, he has always returned to his first love, Mariachi Music. Today, Kiko spends most of his free time sharing the art of mariachi music with his students.
Gloria is a piano and violin teacher in the South Bay. She enjoys volunteering her time conducting Mariachi Armonia. She is on the board of Planet Orchestra and a member of the Beach Cities Symphony. She pursued her education at Loyola Marymount University and earned a BA degree in Music and Finance. She is also an alumni of the Jr Philharmonic of California.
